I got this on a review site, and im going to be buying more! I love this product, and it worked Great in my kids hair!

I use this shampoo for myself as I have very sensitive skin and a very sensitive scalp. Most other shampoos I have tried have made me have eczema breakouts on my hands (from rubbing it into my scalp with them). This shampoo does not give me breakouts and does not overly dry out my scalp either. It doesn’t help with the dryness, but it doesn’t hurt. I do not currently use any conditioner either because I haven’t found one yet that doesn’t bother me, but even just using this shampoo, my hair feels soft and clean. I’m unsure why some people complain about the smell – it’s a natural product for sensitive people and children, so it should be a good thing that it doesn’t have fragrance (plus it doesn’t really smell like anything, especially anything bad).

Hard to find a no sulfate no smell shampoo.

I just used this shampoo for the first time this morning. It got my hair clean and smells absolutely wonderful. It lathers moderately well with little effort and a reasonable amount of product. It provides good slip while washing, works through my hair well, and left it easy enough to comb after–some tangles, not many, and no “grab” to the hair that keeps the knot from coming loose when combing.

If you’re expecting a lavender-scented shampoo, though, this isn’t one–there is a tiny bit of lavender scent to it, but the overarching scent is all very good citrus. And no wonder–when you take a look at the ingredients, you’ll find lemon, lime, sweet orange, and bergamot essential oils. A word of warning on that–this then becomes, for me, a winter-and-rainy-day-only shampoo. Essential oils aren’t just all-natural super-pure perfumes, guys. They’re plant oils with effects and abilities, and one of the particular effect-and-ability of citrus oils is photosensitization–meaning, making you more susceptible to the sun and making it easier to burn. Considering that there is no way to put sunscreen on my scalp (well I could, but ewwwwww) and also considering that I’ll be washing this shampoo down my back, that’s just not something I need to be helping the sun with. Is the essential oil in sufficient strength and quantity to really cause the effect? And will enough of it wash off with the shampoo to make the effect negligible? Dunno. But since the EO’s don’t seem to be addressed anywhere on the label save for the mention of lavender scent promoting serenity and calm, I think I won’t be taking chances. That’s not enough for me to drop it a star and I’m still ABSOLUTELY going to use it, but just with caution.

That said, for days when I will NOT be out in the sun for eight hours, this is a really very nice shampoo. I don’t expect I’ll get to use it, because the boyfriend will probably grab it first next time he’s low, because the citrus scent really is fantastic. –Tim’s girlfriend (Tim also just does love him some citrus-scented personal care products)

I received this product at a discount in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

I continue to buy this TotLogic Kids Shampoo for my granddaughter because she loves it! She has beautiful, shiny hair. She loves the TotLogic conditioner too.

  8. Harris Gross

I have nothing but great things to say about this shampoo. No sulfate formula is gentle on my scalp. Did not leave a residue after rinsing. My hair was the shiniest it has ever been and very clean due to the amazing foam this product makes. I followed up with the totlogic Conditioner. Definitely a keeper.
